Noureen’s Journey: From Loss to Hope
Noureen experienced profound personal loss at a young age, losing her mum in 2016 and her dad just two years later. These heart-breaking events deeply affected her academic performance during her West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), the equivalent of the GCSE.
Despite these challenges, Noureen never gave up on her dream of becoming a nurse.
Thanks to the timely support of the Assuon Foundation Trust (AFT) initiative and the generosity of our donors, Noureen was placed at Ideal College, where she enrolled in full-time remedial classes. The support included paying for her tuition fee, education materials, exams fee, accommodation, feeding, health insurance etc. This opportunity gave her the structure, resources, and encouragement she needed to rebuild her academic foundation.
We are proud to share that Noureen has now successfully passed her WASSCE exams with outstanding results and is preparing to apply to a Nursing and Midwifery Training College in Ghana. She is now one step closer to achieving her lifelong goal of serving others through a career in nursing.
Your support is making a real difference. Because of you, young girls like Noureen are turning adversity into achievement and building brighter futures.
